Halloween

Ok, one thing that I just can't get over is the fact that Ohio chooses not to let the little kids trick-or-treat on Halloween. It just isn't right... So, we spent our Thursday night (October 28th) celebrating Grant's first Halloween. We got the little guy all layered up beneath his lion costume and headded down the street to join our neighbors for some food and drinks. We were a sight to behold. Fire pits blazing, kids and adults dressed up, and a whole lot of candy for the little trick-or-treaters.

Grant was a very scary lion. We cuddled up by the fire and watched the kids come by. Our heroic neighbor saved Grant from severe burns when an ember hit the leg of his costume and started to smolder. Luckily, Grant survived and the costume only suffered minor injuries.

I look forward to next year when our little guy gets to hit the streets and go begging for candy. I think I am probably more excited to eat that candy when he returns!
